Chrome OS is still in the works, and even when it launches, you might not need one of the specialty netbooks that run it. Make the Chrome browser you already have productive enough to do whatever you need instead—and hit Full Screen if you need less distraction.
What will you get out of this guide? Hopefully, you'll find out that Chrome can do a lot more than you gave it credit for, with the help of some great extensions and webapps. Even if you're on a borrowed computer, you'll have a handy means of loading up your favorite sites and utilities and getting things done.

"Most of us learn to live comfortably within our limits but occasionally we like to test where our boundaries lie. When presented with a difficult physical challenge, we might assume that only someone with extraordinary motivation and self-confidence could pull it off. However, there are situations where, conditions being right, a small spark can ignite a huge fire. Given the right set of circumstances, even average people can reach well beyond their limits and achieve something they never thought possible."

I
t's amazing what people with the right idea, pushed forward with a possibility and with the want to experience something completely different and new will take the steps literally one foot in front of the other for 50 Miles of United Effort to a common goal of mind expansion. Since the days of this article how many have forgotten the wonder of a collective idea and a choice to move forward through it?

Certainly that is true, yet on the other hand what has been lost is
not of her doing. The people of this earth the guests on this planet,
have done considerable damage on the natural balance that she has kept
aligned for so long.

Yes it is true floods could reclaim the lands, destroy the world we
know but at what cost? There are people in this world who want to
improve the environment, who organize against the destruction. What of
them? If the world is flooded there would be no life, except that
which is in the sea, who eventually would start the evolutionary
process once again. The point being Camelia is that there really can be
no purge for life itself is ongoing. This evolutionary process does
not stop even if the world is wiped out. The only way to accomplish
such a thing is to wipe out all living things, then all that would be
left is a dead planet never changing never evolving simply a planet of
water and perhaps even through that evolution would begin again from
the simplest of organisms, to eventual emergence of a new human race.
By that the process would begin again so you see it is true she could
take back the planet but to exist the process must continue and people
will once again emerge.

Instead of thinking about an end of days scenario, why not instead do
what we can now to help mother earth regain at least some of which
has been lost through the years. Planting a tree, decreasing carbon
emissions this is only a few of the ways You and I and the people of
this world, can make a difference to try and improve the world we know
now by taking some simple steps in the direction of change.

The Solution to the Annoyance of Press Enter to Post is by accessing facebook via m.facebook.com

Through that you have the ability to write paragraphs in the updates and through comments.

via Raymond Marr on Facebook

There was also another option to solve this by using Shift+Enter to put spaces between paragraphs or sentences, mentioned by another individual on Facebook, as I tried it seemed to work just fine and considerably more simple then having to goto m.facebook.com and update from there, so I am revising this one considering that other option. It is nice that Facebook is updating realtime but I wonder on occasion if there should be more communication from the development teams there so the users are more aware of the changes and any workarounds.

What is really going on in the world around us? What stories are
never told in the suffering of the people in the United states that
are never told because there was some underlying agenda? Like the news
by its very nature is in line with what the founder wants from the
station for the better or the worst. Take that into consideration when
you take what the local news tells you at face value.

Thu, 17 Feb 2011 22:15:00 -0800 Jane McGonigal: Video Games: An Hour A Day Is Key To Success In Life http://blog.homeofknatchwa.net/jane-mcgonigal-video-games-an-hour-a-day-is-k http://blog.homeofknatchwa.net/jane-mcgonigal-video-games-an-hour-a-day-is-k

The single biggest misconception about games is that they're an escapist waste of time. But more than a decade's worth of scientific research shows that gaming is actually one of the most productive ways we can spend time.

No, playing games doesn't help the GDP - our traditional measure of productivity. But games help us produce something more important than economic bottom line: powerful emotions and social relationships that can change our lives--and potentially help us change the world.

The One Thing that is often seen as something less or more, important, that people enjoy on a regular basis has benefits that were not imagined before.

Riding the bus today and seeing a car trying to beat the bus barely missing it. I wondered what is the hurry when driving, risking a life or a series of lives depending on who else is in the car and for what, to beat a red light risking life and limb? Simply to make up only a few minutes, to save a couple of ounces of that "Black Gold" that people pay a premium for. What I could not quite comprehend was the fact the car itself was a hybrid and the driver a lady and it looked like she had at least one child with her. And even with all that she still tries to beat the bus in turning onto the main street of Salinas, trying to beat a red light or something.

It really had me wondering, is saving Two Minutes off a short commute worthing risking all you know and love? Or was it simply a sign of a Sensory Overloaded Society? Perhaps it is just one more result of a society that seems to be more about speed then safety more about the interstate instead of following something like the previously known Route 66? When there was no rush, and the drive was for the enjoyment not for the speed.

Thu, 10 Feb 2011 14:24:00 -0800 4G Infrastructure & Community Based WiFi | What Obama is doing to Make it Happen. http://blog.homeofknatchwa.net/42646983 http://blog.homeofknatchwa.net/42646983

We knew the White House was on board with the FCC's desire to free up an additional 500MHz worth of spectrum over the next decade from private and federal holders, as announced last year, and now Obama has announced the plan to do it. The plan is to incentivize the current spectrum squatters with a share of the revenue gained from auctioning off the spectrum -- mostly for mobile broadband use -- which only seems fair, and for now it seems those auctions will be voluntary. But that's just the tip of the iceberg: the plan also includes a $5 billion investment in constructing 4G networks in rural areas (with a goal to reach at least 98 percent of Americans with the service), a $3 billion fund for 4G R&D to help the rollout, and $10.7 billion for a wireless public safety network. The beauty of this plan is that all these proposed costs are offset by the spectrum auction, which is estimated to raise $27.8 billion, of which $9.6 billion will be dedicated to deficit reduction. Oh, and the best news? The government has already found 115MHz worth of Federal spectrum that it can free up by using its other spectrum more efficiently, and has another 95MHz worth in its sights. Hit up the source link to see President Obama's speech on the subject, which has just begun, or check it out embedded after the break.

via  EnGadget c/o Chris Fisher

Yet another case study in how things have become more mobile, and if this bill goes through, true information will be more available wherever you are, ambitious to shoot for 98% but certainly possible. As so many today have really become more and more mobile as phones have become less expensive with more functions then a typical pc had in the 80s and early 90s. Devices that by themselves may as well be something as simple as pocket pcs.  The abilty to access the internet and it's associated information no matter where you may travel is another benefit to an ever mobile society as well as a travelling classroom, to learn from the collective resources on the interconnected web, the limitations on access has been the one thing, that the hope is with this bill become a thing of the past.

Mon, 07 Feb 2011 11:26:53 -0800 Disconnnection - Writing Related http://blog.homeofknatchwa.net/disconnnection-writing-related http://blog.homeofknatchwa.net/disconnnection-writing-related Sometimes I wonder why there is a tendency to disconnect from a society I rarely socialize with, as often a writer disconnects from all else and instead puts the focus on the content and the thoughts. In the simplest terms socializing becomes something entirely different. Alignment with observation instead of interaction seems to be along that same line of a clearer relation to the very aspect that is writing of fiction or otherwise. At least by my view and through the interpretation of the circumstances. In writing it seems becomes observation and character creation can be the translation thereof.

I wonder though if in those sentences above there is more confusion then communication because at times thoughts travel different tracks and follow many tangents. It is often why writing can relate to one or the other as different people may grasp different aspects of each observation. What are your thoughts?
